Just across from Fairhope Yacht Club. Not walking distance to club. Have courtesy car. FYC has new clubhouse, fine restaurant, and 30 amp power on dock. I flew to DC to conduct training.

The transient slip we were assigned had no finger pier. Got reassigned to one with a side pier. Easier to dock in high wind.

6-6-09 New Orleans SPOT

Harvey lock into the mighty Mississippi - wow what a ride. Industrial lock to Lake Pontchartrain to Orleans Marina.

Orleans Marina now has water and power. Stayed several days. Cab to town for drinking trips and rented car for shopping and touring. Cabbies do not know where the marina is - have to stand by on cell to guide them in.

6-5-09 Houma SPOT

Great dock and park between the twin bridges up the bayou. We took the space next to the waterway and what a treat that was. Also Milano's Italian Restaurant was excellent.

Access to the lock around 10K point was closed until 5 pm. Tied up at city dock north and east of the RR lift bridge. Watch the current when you leave.

A true highlight of the trip. Going back up the bayou, anchoring in the turning basin, going ashore to see how they make Tabassco Sauce.

6-1-09 Shell Morgan Landing in Intercoastal City SPOT

A stop over. They have 30 amp power on eastern side but sailboat took both spots. We tied forward of the fuel dock. Mr. Morgan helped tie us up.
