We set out early Thursday and were run over by a band of showers from Hurricane Fay as it went ashore in South Padre Island some 400 miles away. |

Conditions were pretty much like this off and on down the Houston Ship Channel and the ICW until we hit Port Author 12 hours later |
We got no more than 500 feet in front of the tow El Paso entering East Bay Cut when we hit "white out" conditions. Rain so hard we couldn't see the bow. Had to call him to let him know we were slowing (ha) as we could not see buoys marking the narrow channel.. |
