The Inn at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa, Sedona

What a great place to stay – and we WON the trip from a Chamber Raffle!

This property is lovely and our “backyard” had this park and view of the red rocks. It is nestled right on Oak Creek and is within a short walk of Tlaquepaque.

Go with the Flow Labyrinth at the Inn

For centuries labyrinths have been used by cultures around the world for relaxation and contemplation.

Some people walk them to increase peacefulness, some walk them to relieve stress, and others walk them to solve a problem.

We walked this one to get to the dream state…

Tlaquepaque and the Second Annual State of the Art

Tlaquepaque means the “best of everything” and is a Sedona landmark. If this shopping experience wasn’t enough on its own, we happened to be there on the weekend of their Collector’s Evening. What a great experience - jazz in the courtyard, art in the galleries, and a great meal at Rene’s. In addition, the phenomenal Dragon Knights Stilt Theater (www.stiltshow.com) performed. What a great way to start out the trip!

Jazz on the Rocks

The weekend we arrived, the 26th season of the Sedona art Festival was in full swing - pardon the pun. Free concerts everywhere!

We were fortunate to get tickets to a great Sunday Jazz Brunch featuring Kim Prevost and Bill Solley, from New Orleans. They were displaced by 3 ladies – Rita, Katrina and Wilma. Now they tour the world as many NOLA musicians do and we were lucky to have been able to hear them and experience their special gift of music.
