Double Bayou |
|
Double Bayou is located across Trinity bay. From Kemah # 2 you go to the Northern Boater's cut located next to the HSC high range marker. Then a dip to the South after clearing the last mark. It's clearly marked on the chart. Sorry no photos going in or out do to the shallow water. We touched bottom just North of Marker 15. We took it down the center and there appears to be a bit of a hump in the middle of the channel. Water is low during the winter months as the wind blows the water out of the bayou. There are two restaurant bars side-by-side. Hammerhead's is newer and has 50 amp power. That's what Spirit Dancer needs. Next door is Marker 17 and has a great bar inside. Jimbo Watson owns the place and Earnestine, his new bride, tends the bar. We were here for two reasons: 1) the TMCS Fish Fry and party, and 2) Find out how to get to Double Bayou |
